Though our historic Victorian home is made of wood, brick and mortar, it is our dedicated volunteers that make our Ronald McDonald House a home.
Families who are far from home and worried about a sick child need the warmth and comfort that a volunteer’s friendly smile can bring. They also need the security of a well run “home-away-from-home.”
We are forever thankful for the thousands of volunteers who have lent a helping hand over the years and encourage individuals, families, businesses, professional and civic organizations and YOU to consider giving the most valuable resource of all - TIME.
As an In-House Volunteer you can help meet the needs of the families using the Ronald McDonald House and assist with the day to day operations of the House by answering phones, registering families and doing light housekeeping.
As a Family Room Volunteer you can greet families using the Ronald McDonald House Family Room inside Albany Medical Center as well as offer resources and a listening ear.
As a Meal Partner you can provide families in the House with a weekly, biweekly, monthly, or occasional hot meal; or you can provide home-made baked goods you baked at home or at our House.
As a Special Interest Committee Member you can work on keeping our House beautiful through the Gardening or Operations Committee; or you can help with fundraising by serving on one of the event committees like our annual Radiothon, Fashion Show, or the Teddy Bear Banquet.
There are also many ways your group can lend a hand to RMHC. Ideas include cooking as a group to participating in fund raising activities, to spending an afternoon cleaning up around the House that Love Built.
We also have many unique ways Kids can Help Kids, either in a group or with their families. Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older to volunteer as an individual. If not, they must volunteer with a parent or gaurdian.
Donate Today so we can Help Tomorrow. Make a monetary donation to RMHC; a most important community program.
